Project ID: d3a2b610-5503-448b-96f3-54827e1ed332
Custom domain: dripl.app
I have a domain I got through namecheap, I'm trying to set it up in my railway project. I followed the instructions to add a CNAME record of type @. Got the value in the railway settings. Pasted it in namecheap but they do not get referenced correctly.
I've waited several days already. I also tried removing the domain in the railway project and trying again to receive a different CNAME value but the same issue happens.
Probably the fix is simple but I'm not sure what I'm missing.
For context, the free domain you provide works fine but I need to use mine.

what registrar are you using? and can you share the domain i question?

Namecheap is your registrar, unless you're using them for just DNS which I doubt

I honestly don't know what's up with Namecheap, have you tried just using Cloudflare's DNS?

I know these registrar build-in DNS setup thingies have difficulty with root domain CNAMEs sometimes

Can you send a screenshot of it being configured in your DNS?
I have configured a cloudfare account after @Sam (Loudbook) suggestion. I'm going to try that. I'll need to wait a few hours to wait for the changes to propagate

That should only actually take a few minutes!

They say up to 72 hours but it really just takes 5 minutes
i already configured the new nameservers from cloudfare in namecheap registrar

It is. Where do you see that?

Did you recreate the custom domain in the Railway UI and then set the CNAME?

Seems like it's working now!

And they add a ton of caching and DDOS protection. It's a no-brainer.
yea, i used it in a prev job but because i didn't configure it myself it seemed like a hassle
