I updated my custom domain DNS, but still getting server not responding after domain propogated. I think it is a port issue. the info from the app tells me that they detect it on 8080. Is that correct?

Your custom domain's TXT verification record is present, but the required CNAME record pointing to gtrofgw7.up.railway.app is missing, so traffic cannot reach your service and no SSL certificate can be issued. Your domain is on GoDaddy nameservers, which do not support CNAME records at the root/apex level. You will need to either switch your nameservers to a provider that supports CNAME flattening (like Cloudflare), or use a subdomain (e.g., www.goodtimecharlieexperiences.com) instead. More details are in our custom domain docs.

Changing nameservers in GoDaddy is not done from the DNS records panel where NS records appear. Instead, go to your domain's settings page in GoDaddy and look for the "Nameservers" section, where you can switch from GoDaddy's default nameservers to custom ones (like Cloudflare's). Alternatively, the simpler option is to use a subdomain like www.goodtimecharlieexperiences.com as your custom domain in Railway, since GoDaddy fully supports CNAME records on subdomains without needing to change nameservers.
