Custom domain SSL certificate stuck on "Issuing" for several hours

Project: otayori-calendar

Service: web

Custom domain: otayori-calendar.com

Domain ownership verification (verified: true) completed successfully

several hours ago (via _railway-verify TXT record), and the CNAME/ALIAS

record (otayori-calendar.com -> k8efep1p.up.railway.app) shows as

PROPAGATED. However, the certificate status has remained

"CERTIFICATE_STATUS_TYPE_ISSUING" for over 4 hours with no error

message.

DNS records in place:

  • ALIAS/CNAME: otayori-calendar.com -> k8efep1p.up.railway.app
  • TXT (_railway-verify): railway-verify=a75ce001f709cc46b111749380bf3b4329c154f81a40e8c64a276344f249bf4f
  • CAA records include letsencrypt.org (set by Vercel DNS, which manages this domain)

Could you check what's blocking certificate issuance for this domain?

Your DNS and domain verification are in order, but the certificate issuance attempt failed with a transient error. You can retry certificate issuance from the domain row in your service's Settings under Networking, or via the CLI with railway domain certificate retry.
