Custom domain stuck on "Validating Domain Ownership"

I have added a custom domain and it is still in the process of being validated. I have added the txt and cname records and the dns propagation has successfully been completed. I have tried multiple times removing and re-adding the domain, but nothing helps.

It may take up to a day for DNS records to be validated and a certificate to be issued.

Sure, I will wait the 24 hours and respond with what happens. Thanks for advising.

(This is on the condition that the DNS records are absolutely correct.)

I have checked the DNS records and they are correct. I have waited the 24 hour period, but it is still validating ownership.

I assume both the CNAME and TXT show up with green check marks in Railway's dashboard?

How do I access that? I do not see the CNAME and TXT on the dashboard.

Go to your service > networking > there should be a button that has the string "DNS."

It does not seem like it is there. Please check the screenshot.

"Validating domain ownership" is related to a misconfigured TXT record. Did you copy the TXT record using the copy button instead of manually selecting the text?

Yes, I clicked the copy button and pasted the value. I have removed and re-added the domain multiple times. The DNS propagation shows all checks. Maybe it is a backend railway issue?

Try using the 'dig' command (on WSL if you have Windows) on your machine with the domain as a target to help troubleshoot. I had this issue and fixed it through that it should show you info on the DNS records.

Maybe try putting www. in front of the domain name???

Which DNS provider are you using?

I tried that and an A records shows with a value of "192.64.119.94". The weird thing is that I do not see an A record on Namecheap->Advance DNS.

Are there any conflicting CNAME/AAAA/ALIAS records on the target domain?

No, there are no other CNAME records. There are no AAAA or ALIAS records at all. I have just added an A record with 1.1.1.1 to override the ghost A 192.64.119.94 record by Namecheap.

I'd just try migrating to Cloudflare's DNS service. Might solve this weird headache...
