Custom domain working but SSL not

Hey,

I set a custom domain that is working but the SSL is not working. I'm using Namecheap. My website is 11kms.app or www.11kms.app and it is a React App.

I checked the documentation and several threads like these ones:

What all basically say is:

  1. Remove DNS configuration from Namecheap

  2. Wait

  3. Set it again

  4. Wait

  5. Should work

Some even say that works in incognito. Not my case. I've also tried in different devices and networks and the problem is still happening.

In my case, in step 2 I waited +24h and in step 4 +72h and it still not working.

If you go the website 11kms.app it will say it unsafe, but if you type "thisisunsafe" it will work.

Heya, could you try removing and re-adding the domains from the service settings, and updating the DNS with the new values ?

Hey Nico, thanks for handling my request.

What you mentioned is something I already tried but I tried again one more time.
Namecheap:
Before:

Note that I took the screenshot once I already delete the "@" record.

Now:

Railway after updating again the custom domain:

Now if I go to 11kms.app or www.11kms.app it works but the https is not working. (I've tried in Incongito and different devices and networks)

Hello,

Looks like there are no CNAMEs set for those domains -

https://www.nslookup.io/domains/11kms.app/dns-records/#google

https://www.nslookup.io/domains/www.11kms.app/dns-records/#google

Can you please -

  • Remove the domains from Railway

  • Remove the current CNAMEs from Namecheap

  • Disable DNSSEC in Namecheap

  • Wait half an hour for the change to propagate

  • Add the domains back to Railway

  • Update the DNS config in Namecheap

Hey Brody,

works! It's the 4th or 5th time I tried but this time I disabled DNSSEC in Namecheap as you suggested and it worked

Do you know if I can activate it back without affecting the SSL?

Maybe it is worth adding this DNSSEC thing in to the Railway documentation ;)

Though I'm hesitant to add it to the docs given I don't quite understand the technicals on why it was needed, but I'll noodle on it for sure.
