My database instance cannot be connected to, but it shows green on the UI.
I tried to connect to it:
- by my services relying on the database, the connection fails, the containers crash
- by the web DB client, it just times out
- by using the public database URL from my desktop PC with a database client, it times out.
My project haven't had any code change for months. I just returned from vacation and noticed that I also got a support email about a hardware failiure a week ago. I wonder if this is related.

This one was on our side, and it's fixed now. The hardware failure you were notified about on August 17 briefly took down the machine your database's storage lives on. When it recovered, your database container failed to come back up, while the dashboard kept showing the last successful deploy as green, which is why everything looked healthy while every connection failed.
We restarted the database a few minutes ago: it started cleanly, ran its own automatic crash recovery, and is accepting connections again with your data intact. We also restarted your backend service, which had crashed waiting for the database, and it has connected and deployed successfully.
