I have a project with a pg_vector database deployed on US West Metal. Suddenly, the memory usage for the instance shot up to 4.5 GB, after being at around 175 MB beforehand. The instance is currently hovering around 1.5 GB.
The project is not in production and we're running QA on it, so only around 5 users are actively interacting with it.
Billing is inflated due to this and I can't find an explanation for the unusually high Memory usage.

Just clarifying. We did run scripts against the database to store embeddings, but there have been no scripts running against it since at least Wednesday last week, I noticed the high memory usage on Friday but seems to be going on since before that.

Can u restart the DB and see if it normalizes?
I don't think Railway is at fault here, maybe a mem leak or a unclosed connection to the DB...

I had tried restarting and it kept much the same, I just redeployed and seems to have gone back to normal. It probably is related to unclosed connections, thanks for the help!
