As of this morning my backend deployments are not completing, even after 20 minutes and several aborts & re-tries. Is this a widespread issue with Railway perhaps? It was deploying fine yesterday, often under 1 minute.

Hi, you didn't link to an incident and your status page isn't showing any incidents. This has been going on since last night with deploying containers stuck permanently no matter how many redeploys. Sometimes randomly they'll push through but often not.

Respectfully, why does this keep happening? It seems that every week there is at least one issue where deployments are incredibly slow or just are broken. How is this allowed to keep happening?

seems to be happening for everyone. i even reduced resources still can't complete deployment.
i would say this is a better alternative than actual service being down. but i also think its much better than it was a month or two ago

Apologies for the friction here - we are working on resolving the degraded performance short term, but also have a large project this quarter that is highest priority for our team to make server-level improvements on the deployment experience. Later this quarter everyone on the platform will see some major optimization and improvements!
