Hello Railway team/community,
A Python discord.py bot hosted on Railway in Southeast Asia repeatedly received HTTP 429 with a Cloudflare 1015 HTML page from discord.com between Oct 19, 2026 10:54 and Oct 20, 2026 02:05 (UTC+8).
The bot still receives Gateway messages, but message.channel.typing() fails with discord.errors.HTTPException: 429 Too Many Requests (error code: 0), before the AI API call. A separate quiz bot service in the same project continued recording successful quiz activity during this period. We do not know whether the services share an outbound IP.
Could Railway advise how to confirm whether this is a shared-egress IP restriction and what supported recovery steps are appropriate? Application logs alone do not establish what triggered the restriction. Service identifiers and further diagnostic details can be provided privately to Railway staff if needed.
Thank you.

You can try deploying your application in a different region. Also, try attaching an authorization header to your requests as well.
