Hey guys I have a question regarding redis-volume and I do not see any other responses other than this:
https://station.railway.com/questions/redis-volume-usage-in-metrics-show-way-h-6ee24b37
My main concern is that my redis-volume shows it is continuously rising, and there seems to be a 5GB limit.
I've checked the volume inside of redis and it is practically empty (just 300kb). However on the chart it is showing about 836MB now.
Do I need to have any concern if it gets to that 5GB limit?

I should add that it is growing roughly 1-2mb every day.

The ~819 MB your volume reports versus the ~300 KB of actual Redis data is expected. The volume usage metric reflects host-level storage block allocation (16 KB blocks), not the logical size of live data inside the container. Redis's frequent file rewrites (RDB snapshots, AOF rewrites) allocate new blocks without fully releasing old ones to the underlying storage layer, so the reported figure settles well above what you see inside the container and grows slowly over time. At 1-2 MB/day you have years of headroom before approaching the 5 GB cap, but if the gap ever becomes a concern, migrating your data to a fresh volume is the only way to reset the footprint. Billing is based on this metric, though the cost difference is modest (the current ~819 MB excess is roughly $0.12/month).
