edits and deletions made via the dashboard/Raw Editor do not change what the deployed container receives for this variable at runtime; the effective value still changes on every redeploy despite the variable appearing deleted/edited in the UI.

Your production environment has 5 staged (uncommitted) changes, including a staged deletion of DJANGO_SECRET_KEY, that have been pending since 2025-07-12 and were never applied. Edits made on the project canvas are not live until you click the Deploy button on the staged-changes bar at the top of the canvas. To apply them, click Deploy on that bar; to discard unwanted ones, use the three-dot menu on the same bar and choose Discard Changes.
