DNS instructions say to point the CNAME at 2vla3chn.up.railway.app (which it has been).
That is not available. We're switching over to the podsie.up.railway.app, but this is the second time this has happened and taken the site down.

This might be a red herring, as querying 2vla3chn.up.railway.app with the correct host appears to resolve. We're still investigating our side.

The VALIDATING_OWNERSHIP issue with custom domains on Railway almost always comes down to one of these causes:
1. Conflicting DNS records — Remove any existing A/AAAA records on the same host before adding the Railway CNAME. They block validation silently.
2. Wrong host target — Use www as the host, not @ (apex). Railway's validator checks the CNAME chain, and apex CNAMEs don't work at most registrars without CNAME flattening.
3. Reset cycle — The most reliable fix:
- Remove the custom domain from Railway's Networking tab
- Delete the CNAME record from your DNS provider
- Wait 20 minutes
- Re-add the domain in Railway (copy the new CNAME value)
- Add it back to your DNS provider
- Wait another 20 min and verify at dnschecker.org
4. Still stuck after 30+ min? → Route through Cloudflare (free). Their CNAME flattening solves apex domain issues and Railway validates instantly. Follow: https://developers.cloudflare.com/dns/zone-setups/full-setup/setup/
