Hello, I have been trying to connect my Namecheap domain cheekyhq.com to my railway project product-dev-tracker on and off for weeks now. The TXT and CNAME record are correct on the domain. I've tried removing it and adding it back multiple times. It always gets stuck at either authorizing the domain or issuing the SSL certificate.
It would be great if there was a simple "refresh" button on it to check if it is seeing the DNS records or not. Or some other troubleshooting feature.

Try migrating to Cloudflare's DNS service.
Also, does Railway's pregenerated domain work just fine?

When you delete and re-add the domain, Railway generates new CNAME, and TXT values. If you haven't updated them in your DNS records, it remains stuck. I suggest you check the current CNAME, and TXT values provided by Railway in the dashboard, and update your DNS records to match them if they are different.

Railway generated URL works fine. I can migrate DNS providers but it feels like namecheap should just work?

When you re-add the domain it does not generate new CNAME and TXT values. I've done it three times and it has always been the same. Railway also does not expose the CNAME and TXT record after you've already closed out the modal.

(The values may change, and you can view the records by clicking on "Show DNS Records" if Railway hasn't validated it yet)

That button does not exist.

It only shows before the validation, and not while you're in edit mode.
(Ownership validation usually means there's a TXT mismatch)

It does not show outside of edit mode either. I understand there could be a TXT mismatch but there is not. I didn't make this support thread for no reason. I've gone through every public thread on the issue and tried all the fixes. that is why I tried to reach actual railway support.

Try removing the domain from Railway and the associated records, and add it back after ~10-15 mins.
Perhaps that'll clear up any cache.

I've done that multiple times I mentioned it in my original post 😭

Honestly, at this point, if you haven't deleted and re-added the domain more than 3 times (to avoid Let's Encrypt rate limit), I suggest you re-add it again, but this time remove all its related DNS records before.

I added it back after 20 minutes and I have re-added the domain multiple times since that's the only solution anyone has. I removed the DNS records and re-added them. I did every variation of "restarting" the connection I could.
