I am trying to configure the domain ajrengenharia.com.br for my project on Railway.
This domain was purchased through the provider Locaweb instead of Registro.br.
I contacted Locaweb to help me configure the DNS settings for the system. I configured the CNAME and TXT records there (the ones provided here on Railway), but the URL is still not working.
Today, I contacted Locaweb again and received the following message:
"I checked and this CNAME entry does not work. In this case, the '@' entry would be the empty (root) entry, but in Locaweb’s DNS panel it is not possible to create this type of entry. The CNAME record must have some host value, for example 'www'.
Could you please check with them if they provide another CNAME record with a specific host entry, or an IP address (an A record), so this configuration can be completed?"
Could you please advise if there is another CNAME configuration with a specific host entry, or an IP address (A record) that I should use to complete this setup?

We do not provide A records or static IP addresses for custom domains. For root/apex domains, your DNS provider must support CNAME flattening or ALIAS records, which Locaweb does not. The recommended workaround is to change your domain's nameservers to Cloudflare, which supports CNAME flattening and will allow you to set a CNAME record on the root domain. Alternatively, you could use www.ajrengenharia.com.br as your custom domain instead, since your CNAME for www is already configured.

As mentioned by the bot, Railway only provides CNAME records for custom domains.
As some DNS providers don't support CNAME flattening, I would highly recommend you migrate to Cloudflare's DNS service.
