I'm having a problem. When I try to link my Ionos domain to Railway, I get errors every time, and I can't add both domains I want to add to my website. I'm following the instructions and have tried everything, but it doesn't work. It would be great if someone could help me, as this is an urgent issue.

Can you explain what the issue is here? The error shows that you have a different CNAME set on the Ionos page. Can you screenshot that page? It might just need a second to propagate.
Also, if you want to use the root domain, which you should, you can proxy through Cloudflare. I know they also propagate almost instantly.

In response to what?

That www value doesn't match either of the Railway wanted ones
and this adress w0gx4pqn.up.railway.app

Railway says to put the value next to the clipboard there. That is not what it says.
Regardless, it's working. Try in an incognito tab.

Yeah. It's fine. Leave it how it is and try again yourself later.

Some caching issue
Your CNAME is correctly set to w0gx4pqn.up.railway.app. Wait for some time for local caches to refresh

So right now i only got www.hiddenmetix.com, the problem with ionos is i cant put a second cname record for hiddenmetrix.com. is there a solution without a second cname record?

You should be using Cloudflare for DNS

It’s like the only service that does it sane-ly

That has nothing to do with it

Just setup Cloudflare DNS

I have 4 domains, none of them are purchased with cloudflare, all of which use cloudflare for DNS

And I pay Cloudflare $0/m
Yes, you can. It is a matter of creating a Cloudflare account, setting up the domain and preparing its DNS records. After that is done, you change the DNS records of type NS in ionos and after some time Cloudflare will be your authoritative DNS provider

Cloudflare is awesome

Yeah and you can do it in the root instead of using the extremely outdated www
but isnt it also possible to do it with ionos and your static outbound IP. With 2 A records?

I have no idea

But there isn’t anything Ionos can do that CF can’t

Railway does not have a static IP for your services
No, those are OUTBOUND IPs for when your service connects to the outside. THere is no static IP for you to use as an A record

Being able to not use www should be enough to convince you LOL

Alright, thank you guys! Will do that then. But right now the website is working as it is right?

On www, yes
Honestly, I would put the onus on Railway here to provide a static IP instead of forcing everyone to use the nonstandard DNS features that only Cloudflare and a few others support.

Oh it’s already on the list
