Domain Pointing to Railway Error Page After Removing Custom Domain

Hey everyone,

I need some help with a domain I previously linked to a Railway app. Here's the situation:

I initially tried connecting my domain to a Railway app using CNAME and other settings but later decided to stick with my original hosting.

I removed the custom domain from the Railway app and updated the link for the Railway app itself.
However, despite updating the DNS records to point to my hosting's IP, the domain is still showing a Railway error page: "Domain Not Found - The train is not at the station.
The old Railway app seems to be lingering, even though I've completely removed the app configuration.

Could you please check why the domain is still pointing to the Railway error page and help resolve this issue?

Thanks!

So if I understand correctly, you had a custom domain on Railway but decided to remove the custom domain but even after removing the custom domain it's still pointing to Railway?

I never fully set up the custom domain on Railway. I tried configuring it by adding @, CNAME, and alias records, but realized the setup was too complex, as I have mobile apps/apis, etc and might require further changes/development etc, so I decided to stick with my current hosting instead.

However, during the process, I deleted the original @ record and replaced it with the settings for Railway. As a result, the domain seems to be connected to Railway somehow, even though it was an improper setup. Now, despite reverting my DNS settings to point to my hosting's IP, it still redirects to the Railway error page.

If you've reverted the DNS settings then you just need to wait for it to propagate

I understand that DNS propagation can take time, but it's been almost 4 hours now, and DNS checkers are showing that the correct IP is set for domain

However, the domain still redirects to the Railway error page. I’ve cleared my browser cache and also tried accessing from different networks, but it still seems to be stuck. Is there anything else that could be causing this or any further steps I should take to resolve it?

Would it be possible for you to share the domain in question?

When going to your domain I see a wordpress blog website

meaning it's just DNS cache that's causing the website to direct to Railway for you
