Hey folks,
Trying to consolidate everything onto Railway — services, DNS, the works — and the last piece is moving our domain registration off GoDaddy and into Railway Domains.
I went through the Railway Domains docs and it covers purchasing new domains really well, but I couldn't find anything on transferring an existing domain in from another registrar. The FAQ mentions transferring domains out of Railway and between workspaces, but nothing about inbound transfers.
A few questions for the team (or anyone who's done this):
- Are inbound domain transfers from GoDaddy (or other registrars) currently supported?
- If yes, is it the standard flow — unlock at GoDaddy, pull the EPP/auth code, initiate from the Railway side?
- If not, is it on the roadmap?
Would love to avoid the alternative of letting the GoDaddy registration expire and re-buying through Railway (too risky with someone potentially sniping it in the gap).
Thanks!

Inbound domain transfers (from GoDaddy or any other registrar) are not currently supported. The Railway Domains feature only supports purchasing new domains. In the meantime, you can keep your domain registered at GoDaddy and add it as a custom domain on your service by pointing DNS to Railway, which gives you full functionality without needing to transfer the registration.
