I bought $10 in credit last month, I only used $2.79 but It has run out of credit, and I'm back in the trail plan, could somebody explain to me how credits and planes work?

The hobby plan itself costs $5 and includes $5 of usage which will reset each month.
I assume that you are on the hobby plan with credits, in this case, here are the docs regarding it:
Credits As a Payment Method
On Railway, you can pay for your Hobby plan subscription and resource usage with pre-purchased credits. When using credits as a payment method, keep in mind that:
You must carry a credit balance sufficient to cover usage + the Hobby plan fee, otherwise your project will be paused and your subscription cancelled. If your subscription is cancelled, you will be required to resubscribe
If your usage within a billing period exceeds your credit balance, you will no longer be able to deploy, and your projects will be paused
If you cancel your subscription, any remaining credit balance will be lost
Credits as a payment method is only available for Hobby plan users.

But I paid $10 for Usage-based subscription but today I have $0 and only used $2.79. Those credit are monthly?

they shouldn't be, is there anything else on your billing page that could explain it?

Hypothetically, assume that you have $10 of credits, you will be charged $5 for the hobby plan, which means that you have $5 credits left. After a month you will be charged $5 again and you will end up with $0. which according to the first bullet point above will cancel your plan.
^ maybe this?

From what I can see you added 10 usd in credits the 4th of february, got billed 5usd for hobby, then in the 4th of march you got billed again for those 5 dollars, since the billing period was over

But weird that you are now on trial, as you should have gotten those 5 usd in usage, I'm not oncall so I dont have a lot of time to investigate, but the person oncall will soon take a look ok?
