I would love to use Railway at work but unfortunately the nearest railway servers to sydney are in Singapore, which is not only geographically very far, but is also only available through some of the most congested links in the world, leading to the horrible combo of retransmission and high latency.

To be clear, I appreciate that Australian colocation and transit is expensive and understand why you don't have a region here

Attached are a series of iperf results that I hope illustrate how all regions are either very far and therefore crippled by tcp congestion control or drop a lot of packets due to traffic policing on oversubscribed links. I couldn't find a set of IPs to ping but ICMP is usually so low priority that i doubt that would be usefaul anyway
