Your usage so far this billing cycle (which started 2026-09-24) comes to $12.17, and almost all of it is network egress on your API service:
Network egress: $11.92
Memory: $0.35
vCPU: $0.03
Disk: $0.01
────────────────────────
Total: $12.17Egress is data your services send out over the public internet, billed at $0.05/GB. A common cause is an app connecting to its Railway database through the public URL: switching your API to use DATABASE_URL instead of DATABASE_PUBLIC_URL keeps that traffic on private networking, which is not metered. Serving large files or high-traffic responses also counts as egress.
To stop costs running further while you look into it, you can set a hard limit (minimum $10), which takes your services offline once usage reaches it.
You can set up usage alerts, limits, and view your usage breakdown - including per service costs - by heading to railway.com/workspace/usage.
