Hi ,
I’m seeing extremely slow write performance on my Postgres instance (running in the Singapore region). Example log:

write=15.500 s, sync=15.903 s, total=60.342 s;
sync files=8, longest=15.903 s, average=1.988 s;
distance=95 kB, estimate=412 kB; lsn=0/A5E9528, redo lsn=0/A5E94F0
I tested same api and same payload shows inconsistent latency:
Fast run: ~1.7s
Slow run: ~14s
Could you check on this, as a lot of users have complained about slow responses? If this issue cannot be resolved, I will need to consider moving to another platform.

Hey, thanks for getting back to me.
Do you have any follow-up or thoughts on this issue? Our database is currently very small, so this problem really shouldn’t be happening. I’ve tested with other database providers and they’re performing significantly faster.

I do- I have moved your DB to a calmer machine while I have the team look into why our alarms didn't warn us about this particular host.

Yes, the performance is much better now, but some APIs are still showing slow responses. The latency remains inconsistent, ranging from 360 ms up to 4 seconds.
I think this needs serious attention, as it raises concerns about stability and scalability when more users come onto the platform.

Agree, it's the only topic up for discussion platform side. We have two more suggested performance patches from our team that we are testing. We aren't rushing to get this out since every change to our storage system needs to be tested for data integrity, so we're moving as fast as we can.
