Freepik API - Your IP has been blocked due to suspicious activity

Hi,

I have been using N8N on railway and getting images from Freepik via API

Everything has been running smoothly for months but today I am getting an error from freepik:

"Your IP has been blocked due to suspicious activity"

their response was:

"Ah, that explains it! 🚂 Railway uses shared infrastructure, so you're likely getting an IP that's been flagged by our security provider (Akamai).

Since you can't easily change your Railway IP, here are your options:

  • Contact Railway support to request a different IP address
  • Try deploying to a different Railway region if available
  • Consider using a different hosting provider temporarily

The block isn't from us directly - it's automatic based on IP reputation. Railway's shared IPs sometimes get flagged due to other users' activity.

Also double-check you're not hitting our rate limits (50 hits/second over 5 seconds, or 10 hits/second averaged over 2 minutes) as that could also trigger blocks.

Let me know if switching regions or contacting Railway helps! 👍"

I can't find a way to contact support for a different IP. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Glad redeploying resolved it. Note that redeploying may assign a different outbound IP, but it's not guaranteed and can change again. If this recurs, changing your deploy region is another way to get a different IP. For a permanent solution, the Pro plan's Static Outbound IPs feature gives you a fixed IPv4 you can share with Freepik for allowlisting.
