I am struggling with frequent Metal build issues in Railway. In almost every case, I don't ever see any logs other than:

scheduling build on Metal builder "builder-hdvmmv"
scheduling build on Metal builder "builder-hdvmmv"

(Yes, that's all it says. Logged twice. Usually about 5 - 10 seconds apart.)

Debugging build failures is hard. I usually have to switch away from metal to get details on what failed.

For example, if the package.json and pnpm lock file don't agree it results in a build error which the metal build system swallows and never logs.

The other times, metal build fails for no apparent reason and then succeeds when I retry it.

Railway advertises Metal as stable, but this has not been my experience over the last 2 weeks. What am I doing wrong?

Coming from AWS, Vercel, and Supabase my experience has been quite painful. The build times are also crazy high (same build in Vercel is <20 seconds, and >3 minutes in Railway+Metal with the Railpack).
