I upgraded my workspace to the Hobby plan and billing confirms it’s active, but the “Generate Domain” button under Public Networking is still greyed out/disabled for my service (rays-leather-receptionist). I’ve tried logging out and back in, different browsers, and incognito mode — same result. Service is deployed and shows “Online.” Can you take a look?

Your workspace is confirmed active on the Hobby plan and the service is deployed successfully. The most common reason the "Generate Domain" button is disabled is that a TCP Proxy is already assigned to the service - if one exists, remove it by clicking the trashcan icon next to it in the Networking section of your service's settings, and the "Generate Domain" option will reappear.

No TCP Proxy exists for this service — only the Generate Domain button is shown, and it’s still disabled

Thanks for confirming there's no TCP Proxy. Your Hobby plan is active on our end, and the Generate Domain button isn't gated by your plan, so the upgrade isn't the cause. A greyed-out (visible but disabled) Generate Domain button usually comes down to one of two things:
- A service domain already exists on this service — the button only appears for generating the first Railway domain; if one was already generated (even from an earlier attempt), the action is hidden/disabled and you'd manage the existing one instead. Can you confirm whether any railway.app domain is already listed under Public Networking for this service?
- A project-permission state issue — the button is gated by write permission. Since you're the workspace owner this shouldn't apply, but the dashboard's permission state can go stale. Could you reply with a screenshot of the full Public Networking panel for the service, and confirm you're the owner? With that we can pinpoint exactly which state the UI is in and get you a domain generated.

Confirmed — no domain is listed under Public Networking, only the “Generate Domain,” “Custom Domain,” and “TCP Proxy” buttons. I am the workspace owner (Account Settings confirms “Workspace Owner” under social@raysleather.com). Screenshot attached.

Thanks for the screenshot and confirming you're the owner. On our end there's nothing blocking this: your Hobby plan is active, the service is deployed and online, no Railway domain or TCP Proxy exists on it, and you have full write access. That rules out the usual causes, so this is a UI state issue on the Generate Domain action itself rather than anything with your account or service. We're getting the right team on it to look at why the button isn't responding for this service, and we'll follow up here. In the meantime, if you'd like a domain provisioned right away, let us know and we can generate one for this service from our side.

Yes please — go ahead and generate a domain for this service from your side. Whatever you need from me to make that happen, let me know. Thank you!

Hi Angelo — just following up. It’s been over 24 hours since you offered to generate the domain from your side. Any update? Eager to get this moving. Thank you!

From your screenshots, the button is not disabled, so I'm left wondering what happens if you press it.

The button does open a popup asking for the port (8080 is pre-filled). But when I click the purple “Generate Domain” button inside that popup, nothing happens — no domain appears, no error message, nothing. The popup just stays there. This happens on both Safari and Chrome on both iPhone and Mac.
