Getting my domain to work

I want to add my domain onto my site. I couldn't make it work and came here for answers. I discovered that because it is with godaddy I have to use cloudflare. That was 5 days ago. I joined Cloudflare and there is a green active tick but the site does not show up on the domain. I have an error about too many redirects. A page appeared (I never got a screenshot) for a short time that said i should contact my host provider because there is an error with connecting.
The cname @ that Railway provides - I was unable to put that into godaddy (which I know why) and then I have been unable to add it to cloudflare because I have A records. Do i delete the A records in favour of the cname @ plus value? I have never had to do this before with a domain.

Hello,

For the ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS error, please see our docs on the topic -

Thank you. I think I will have to transfer to NameCheap so I can avoid using cloudflare at all and get rid of GoDaddy. If my aim is to stay with Railway something more permanent has to be done! It still isn't showing so there is still something I need to do.

May I ask why you want to avoid using Cloudflare?

It's just another new thing to figure out/learn/pay for potentially. If I can use namepcheap and get connected directly I prefer that option. I transferred over to namepcheap yesterday so I will take a look at how to connect my domain tomorrow 🤞🏾
