GitHub repository is visible in the Railway Connect Repo picker, but selecting it redirects to GitHub App configuration and the existing service remains Connect Repo; Source is never persisted.

The redirect to the GitHub App configuration page means the Railway GitHub App does not yet have access to that repository. In the GitHub App installation settings, grant the Railway App access to the repo (or accept any pending permission updates), wait a few minutes for caches to refresh, then try connecting again. If it still doesn't persist, uninstall and reinstall the Railway GitHub App.

I need help repairing the GitHub source connection for an existing Railway service.
Project: aware-nurturing
Environment: production
Service: DzMoney
Service ID: 1f95b233-8ea0-425b-be22-553da01b6a03
Project ID: e216ffa7-4a71-4949-847c-3f71b1652b83
Repository: massnsenbenhammada-ux/DzMoney
Expected branch: main
The existing DzMoney service previously deployed successfully from this repository.
The current problem is:
Settings → Source → Connect Repo → “No repositories found”
The Railway GitHub App is installed on the GitHub account and has access to the repository.
I have already tried:
- Confirming the Railway GitHub App installation
- Confirming repository access
- Refreshing/reconnecting the repository
- Reconnecting GitHub
- Waiting for synchronization/cache refresh
- Trying to connect the repository again
When selecting the repository, Railway either redirects back to the GitHub App configuration or the repository picker remains empty.
The existing DzMoney service currently has an empty source configuration, even though the service and its previous deployments still exist.
Please check and repair any stale/broken GitHub App installation, repository mapping, or source binding on Railway's side and reconnect:
massnsenbenhammada-ux/DzMoney → main
IMPORTANT:
Please repair the EXISTING DzMoney service.
Do not create a new service.
Do not modify the database, environment variables, domain, or other production configuration.
I need the existing service's GitHub source connection restored.

Your DzMoney service is intact with all its configuration (variables, domain, build settings) preserved, only the source binding is empty. The documented fix when the repo picker stays empty after confirming access is to fully uninstall the Railway GitHub App from github.com/settings/installations, then reinstall it from github.com/apps/railway-app/installations/new, granting access to the DzMoney repo. After reinstalling, wait a couple of minutes for caches to clear, then go to your service's Settings, find Service Source, and use Connect Repo to select massnsenbenhammada-ux/DzMoney on the main branch. This reconnects the existing service without creating a new one or touching any other configuration.

Expected branch:

The existing DzMoney service is intact and its configuration, variables, domain, build settings, and database must remain unchanged.
The problem is only the Service Source:
Settings → Source → Connect Repo
It remains disconnected.
I verified that:
- The Railway GitHub App is installed.
- The Railway App has access to the DzMoney repository.
- DzMoney is explicitly selected under Repository access.
- I reinstalled/reconnected the Railway GitHub App.
- I waited for synchronization/cache refresh.
- The repository still cannot be persisted as the source of the existing DzMoney service.
Please repair the Railway-side GitHub repository/source binding for this EXISTING service and connect:
massnsenbenhammada-ux/DzMoney → main
IMPORTANT:
Do NOT create a new service.
Do NOT delete or recreate DzMoney.
Do NOT modify the database.
Do NOT modify environment variables, domain, or other production configuration.
Only repair the GitHub source binding for the existing DzMoney service.

Since the dashboard repo picker remains empty after reinstalling the GitHub App, you can bypass it entirely using the Railway CLI. Install the CLI, link to your project with railway link, then run railway service source connect --repo massnsenbenhammada-ux/DzMoney --branch main --service DzMoney to bind the repo to your existing service directly, preserving all configuration.
