Hi, I just wanted to figure out what difference there is in terms of pricing and performance?

I am using Gunicorn to host a small backend on Railway.

Thanks.

There's a doc page that explains the benefits of using Railway's own infrastructure!

https://docs.railway.com/railway-metal

but tl;dr

Pricing decrease (egress by 50% and storage from $0.25/GB to $0.15/GB)

Improved performance, reliability, networking, higher available resources...

Regardless of what you're hosting, using railway metal is a win-win situation

I wasn't aware of what the advantages were. That's why I wanted to ask it. Thanks

Railway Metal and Railway Edge Network are different

if you're on Railway Metal then you already get the features Medim mentioned

Correct me on this but Railway Edge Network basically means they're running their proxy on the Railway servers instead of keeping it on GCP and thus reducing the latency a little bit.
