I'm not entirely sure about this setup on railway, if I need to use another service to setup the DNS. Can anyone please help me clarify this? Thank you.

Yes

you have bought a domain already?

Yeah, it's doable, but not with Railway alone. Railway doesn't natively support scalable multi-tenant setups with custom domains.

Yes, that was my thought. So I'm thinking maybe using Cloudflare to handle the DNS and services runs on Railway.

Maybe this can work, with CloudFlare and even Vercel too. My concern with Vercel was the need to connect the domain to a project on Vercel. But looks like that may not be the case.
Yes, I have the domain. I've connected it to CloudFlare and trying it out.
I was hoping someone has done this before so I don't waste time trying to find what works.

Yes. If your domain is connected to cloudflate you can easily configure it on railway. Just go to your service networking settings and click on railway provided DNS records.
Add them to cloudflare DNS records and wait a few hours for your CNAME and TXT record to give a green check for successful connection.
Or just simply click connect if your railway account and cloudflare are connected already.
