Help Needed to Recover Existing MySQL Database After Trial Expired

I am working on a college project called Travel Planning and Budget Management Portal. My project uses a MySQL database hosted on Railway.

Recently, my Railway trial expired, and my MySQL service is now showing as offline. The Railway dashboard says that the service requires a deployment to be online. I also checked the Backups section, which shows that there are no backups for the service's volume.

Before the service went offline, I was able to use my website to register an account and access my saved trips, budgets, and expenses.

I would like your help with the following:

Can I restore access to my existing MySQL database after the trial has expired?

Is the existing database volume, named mysql-volume, and its stored data still available?

What steps should I follow to recover the database without losing my existing data?

Is a paid plan required to restore access, and are there any other recovery options?

My Railway project is named wholesome-rejoicing, and the database name is travel_planner.

I have not deleted the database or its volume. I would appreciate guidance on how to safely recover my existing project data.

Your mysql-volume is still there. It's attached to your MySQL service, its status is ready, and it holds about 147 MB of data. The service is offline because the trial ended, not because anything was deleted.

To get access back, you need to fix the trial status. You can either switch to the Free plan from your plans page or subscribe to a paid plan from billing. Then redeploy the MySQL service. Redeploying uses the same service with the existing volume mounted. It doesn't create a new database or replace your data.

Once the service is running again, you can connect to it and export travel_planner yourself, for example with mysqldump. We can't reactivate the service just for an export, and we can't send a dump while the trial status is unresolved, so changing your plan is the way back in.
