Railway tokens do not start with rw_. For CI/CD deployments, generate a Project Token from your project's settings (Project Settings > Tokens), then set it as the RAILWAY_TOKEN environment variable in your GitHub Actions workflow. Project tokens are UUID-formatted and use RAILWAY_TOKEN, not RAILWAY_API_TOKEN. For CLI usage, the command is RAILWAY_TOKEN=<your-token> railway up. More details are in the CI/CD integration docs and the tokens reference.
