Hey, can you elaborate on what you mean with the standard "world"?

When first deploying it generates a new world, thats what is meant with standard

Assuming that you are talking about the Minecraft server template, I believe that this is something that has to be done by modifying/swapping out contents of the volume. This can be done by temporary swapping the volume to a file browser, which makes it possible for you to change the contents of a volume. Once you have done that, you should be able to swap back the volume and use your existing world. You mostly want to deploy another instance of the Minecraft template and see if this process of swapping the world works.

well it did not work since it kept loading the old world even with the variable LEVEL changes to the new one

Hey, template creator here, make sure to delete the current world_* folders and upload your new ones, that totally should do the trick.

Use the file browser to delete the old world files before uploading the new ones as it's guaranteed rather than using the level property.

I'll try to do that, however the file browser doesn't show any files when linking it to the volume that's attached to the server

Are you detaching the volume from the server and then attaching it again to the file browser? If the Minecraft Template has run at least one time, then files should appear inside it.

i did do that and i let the server run once and then stopped it but no files showed

Hey, sorry for the delay, in the file browser service change the variable USE_VOLUME_ROOT to be 1 instead of 0.

Thank you that worked now the issue is that the server wont start, because of session.lock issues

Maybe the volume browser runs with different user permissions than the Minecraft template, which could explain those permission denied errors. I'll debug this later, but I might first finish creating the dashboard that i'm in the middle of finishing, which will fix the issues requiring detachment/attachment.

I'll release it somewhere this week and will come by default on the template.

I've fixed that issue, try redeploying the service/template with the latest version.
