How to copy entire build/deploy log?

I still havent figured out how I can copy the entire log. If I select it all and ctrl+c it only gets what visible in the overflow scroll container.
I have, once too many times, copy pasted it in parts…… but today I have a log that are longer than my patience for copy pasting it it bits

There isn't really a way to copy the full logs, but there is a way to copy most of them:

  • In-App: from your logs, enter ctrl+k (or cmd+k) to open command pallete, then click on Copy Logs

  • Bookmarklet: from your logs, use [this bookmarklet]()

the In-App method copies the last 5,000 lines, if i remember correctly, although there are some issues with it
and the bookmarklet method copies the last 1,000 lines, if I remember correctly
-# Note, I haven't checked in a long time so the amount of lines it copies might've changed since

Hi, Thanks for your suggestions 🙂

When I use ctrl+k , I see no "copy logs" menu item (i scrolled all the way to the bottom). I had the logs I want to inspect open on screen while opening the menu.

When I try the bookmarklet approach, When i click it from the open logs view, nothing happens, and I see a error in the console, "unexpected token"

hmm, i wonder if it only works on active deployments, and so it's not appearing for a failed deployment.. that would make the tool somewhat pointless though 🤔

hmm, yea. that'd be a shame. Or maybe some user level condition?

I feel like I once were able to access the logs in a separarte browser tab, somehow.

maybe, I'm not entirely sure.. at the moment we still recommend users who try to export their logs use the bookmarklet method since the in-app method still has some bugs to sort out anyway

silly question, have you tried typing logs in the command pallet?

Once it is passed the build step, the download logs options become available in the menu, FYI.

I'm deleting this project for now ✌️
