Hi everyone,
I’m new to ERPNext and want to set it up for my small business to manage things like accounting, inventory, and sales. I’ve been reading about it, but I’m not sure where to start with deployment. I’d really appreciate some step-by-step advice or pointers from anyone who’s done this before!
Here’s a bit about my situation:
I’m comfortable with basic Linux commands (Ubuntu preferred), but I’m not a sysadmin pro.
I’d like to deploy it on a local server or a VPS (open to suggestions on which is better).
My budget is limited, so free or low-cost options are ideal.
A few specific questions:
What’s the easiest way to install ERPNext for a beginner?
Are there any must-know setup tips (like hardware requirements or dependencies)?
Should I go with the official docs, or is there a better tutorial out there?
Any common pitfalls to avoid during deployment?
Thanks in advance for any help! Excited to get this up and running.

Hello,
I'm sorry to say this but it would not be possible to correctly deploy ERPNext on Railway at this time.
Their docker-compose file has multi-mount volumes in use (mounting a volume to multiple services) and our platform doesn't support that right now.
Best,
Brody

Is this still not supported? Can we have an ETA on this?

Unfortunately, it's still not supported, and we do not currently have any projects scoped out to support it, so I cannot offer an ETA at this time, apologies.
