Got charged $50 last month and I have no clue how to audit my usage logs. 2 problems:
Is there articles that educates users on how to track usage logs and identify contributing factors to these spikes? (e.g. based on screenshot attached, seems like memory is contributing to the spike - specifically from Postgres… but idk what is causing Postgres to spike from my n8n workflows)
What is the pricing structure for memory?
How do I track costs from previous months in the dashboard?

Hi,
It doesn't look like your screenshots went through. Can you try sending them in a comment?

Never mine. The bot doesn't send screenshots to the station.

Hi!
That would be unique to what you are doing in those workflows and would likely have nothing to do with the platform. If you could describe what those workflows do in more detail, I could give you a more accurate answer 🙂 To better track your logs I would suggesting taking a look at the observability tab!
You can check resource pricing on https://railway.com/pricing, mem is priced at
$0.00000386 per GB / sec.You can see your older invoices by going into your workspace billing area (https://railway.com/workspace/billing) and downloading the desired invoices. In the PDF file, you will find the total usage for that month.
Thanks @Medim - I understand it has nothing to do with the platform - and I am happy to check out my workflows in my own time.
I think the question I was trying to ask is what exactly contributes to spikes in memory in n8n workflows, in general?

Go in your service setting, remember to enable serverless, sometimes people forget it and your server keep runing when there is no trafic.
And also it will increase the first response time, but it should not be a big problem.
Here is also the documentation for it.

It would be best to ask this on a n8n-specific support channel, but from what I understand, it's about how much data your workflow manipulates while it runs, how many runs happening at once, and how much/what kind of data n8n stores in your pg db during/after runs.
