Having looked into this, the issue appears to be in your application code or configuration rather than the Railway platform itself, which puts it outside what Railway support can resolve directly.

Go to your service settings > networking, and you’ll see an option to add a custom domain.

You're looking at the wrong tab. There's no option to assign, a custom own domain in the whole workspace settings https://railway.com/workspace/domains. Theres only option to buy a domain.

The option to add a custom (own) domain is only visible after clicking specific Service -> Settings -> Networking -> Custom Domain
