I'm using the official MySQL template within my project, to host the persistent database of my web application. Works like a charm. Now, I've enabled backups, obviously and I'd like to download one of these to import them locally on my development environment. This would be ideal for me, to test new code against production data.
I'm guessing I'm not the only one who wants to do this.
My problem: Unfortunately I cannot find any way or option to download the MySQL backup files. Am I missing something? If it's not supported yet, will it be? Any workaround to get my production data in hands?
thanks a lot!
Alex.

Hi Alex, we currently don’t have a way to download the backups but have been considering it on the roadmap but no timelines yet. Would be super helpful if you could voice your thoughts and add it to our wishlist for 2025 https://help.railway.com/feedback/tell-us-your-railway-wish-for-2025q1-c51bd278
In the meantime you'd have to use something like https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.4/en/mysqldump.html
