lifting the restriction (project "semantix")

Hi Railway team,

My workspace has been restricted and I'd like help understanding why and getting it lifted.

Account / IDs

Account: artatme (artiomcom@gmail.com)

Workspace: "artatme's Projects" (ID ed790c79-c588-443e-a746-f8757f6bd7dc)

Project: semantix (ID 6f33f5a9-1fab-4424-a477-c9ab96f6d49a), environment production

What happened (2026-07-12, ~01:30 UTC)

While deploying additional services to the project, the CLI started returning:

Failed to upload code with status code 502 Bad Gateway

Your workspace has been restricted. Please contact support to resolve this.

At the same time the previously-running services went down — the public URL https://web-production-7886.up.railway.app now returns HTTP 404, and one new service ("flaresolverr") shows FAILED.

Context

I was scaling the project up (it had ~10 services: web, backend, task workers, Infinity, MinIO, managed Postgres + Redis, an MCP gateway, an audit service) and was adding one more service that runs headless Chrome (FlareSolverr). I suspect this pushed the workspace over a resource or spend limit, but I received no prior warning and would like to confirm the actual cause.

Questions

What exactly triggered the restriction (resource usage, spend cap, automated abuse detection, something else)?

What do I need to do to lift it and bring the services back online?

If it's a plan/limit issue, which plan/limits should I move to for a project of this size? I'm happy to upgrade or add a payment method.

The project is a legitimate self-hosted RAG/search application (a fork of RAGFlow) for evaluation — no abuse intended. Please let me know how to resolve this.

Thanks,

Artiom

Your workspace has an active restriction, and unfortunately we aren't able to share the specific reason it was applied. For paid workspaces, the restriction cannot be reversed, and services on the workspace will remain stopped. The next step would be to cancel your plan from your workspace billing settings to end the billing relationship. We understand this isn't the answer you were hoping for, and we're sorry we can't do more here.

Hello Railway Support,

My workspace was restricted with the reason “Radar: Banned images”.

I believe this may be a false positive. I have not intentionally deployed any prohibited or abusive services, and I would appreciate a manual review of my workspace.

Could you please let me know which container image or deployment triggered the restriction, so I can remove or replace it if necessary?

Thank you.

We understand the frustration, and we're sorry we can't be more specific. We aren't able to share details about what triggered the restriction or conduct a manual review of the workspace. For paid workspaces, the restriction cannot be lifted, and services will remain stopped. The path forward is to cancel your plan from your workspace billing settings to end the billing relationship.

I understand. To clarify, I did deploy the image, but I was not aware that it was prohibited. As soon as I realized there might be an issue, I tried to remove it.

However, because the workspace is now restricted and all services are stopped, I am unable to access the workspace properly and delete the offending deployment myself.

I am not trying to continue running any prohibited service. I only want the opportunity to remove it and keep the rest of my legitimate services running.

Could you please allow me to remove the offending image, or remove it on my behalf, and reconsider the restriction?

We appreciate you explaining the situation, and we understand this is frustrating. Unfortunately, for paid workspaces the restriction is final and cannot be reconsidered, regardless of the circumstances. We're also unable to remove individual services or images on your behalf. The next step is to cancel your plan from your workspace billing settings to end the billing relationship.

Railway you suck, how can you not be able to reverse a restriction for paid accounts and yet people's work depends on it, you need to be sued. For example, I have 5 projects, one breaks your guidelines, why block all the apps or services... Now I have a client problem. There services are down because of another client using his service the wrong way and I am just a programmer... What's wrong with you people, do you think?!!!
