Log stream has been paused

Hello,

I deployed an application on Railway using a paid plan that is intended to remain active 24/7. However, I keep receiving a “Log stream has been paused” message in the log stream, and it appears that when there is low traffic (e.g., during idle periods) the container goes into sleep mode. This behavior is preventing continuous active WebSocket connections, which are critical for my integration with StreamElements.

Could you please help me with the following questions:

  1. Is there a setting or configuration available under the paid plan to completely prevent the container from going into sleep mode?

  2. Do you have any recommendations or best practices (such as a keep-alive mechanism) to ensure my application remains continuously active on Railway?

  3. Does the “Log stream has been paused” message indicate that the application is not running in the background, or is it solely a behavior of the Dashboard interface?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Do you have serverless enabled per https://docs.railway.com/reference/app-sleeping?
