I have a couple domains that I do advanced dns and routing with that I would like to migrate from namecheap to railway to make this easier.
What are the steps involved to do this migration? I know I have to unlock the domain in namecheap to start but I do not see a transfer option in railway.

Railway doesn't currently support transferring domain registrations from other registrars. You can keep your domains registered at Namecheap and point them to Railway by updating your DNS records there.
If you'd like to consolidate, you could purchase new domains directly through Railway, but for existing domains, DNS configuration at your current registrar is the way to go. Our docs cover setting up custom domains: https://docs.railway.com/guides/public-networking#custom-domains
