MySql Database not working after changing region from US to Singapore

I changed the region of my DB instance to Singapore and my application is now crashing because DB is not connecting. Please help me this is very urgent.

The Data tab for the database works fine now? am I good to mark this as solved?

Yes, I had to upgrade the version of the db from 8 to 9 and it fixed that
