CRITICAL PRODUCTION ISSUE
Project: romantic-rebirth (07c25a19-13c0-416f-b74b-d6c2c3b328e5)
Environment: production
Service: n8n (1b5cb78e-1d72-4004-a3fd-0fa53bc9b8a0)
After applying ipv6EgressEnabled: true and redeploying n8n today (2026-08-11 at 15:04:50 UTC), the instance shows "Set up owner account" — all workflows, users and credentials are gone.
Volume Details:
- ID: a03b272f-250e-4911-ab65-580048209c0a
-
- Mount: /n8ndata
-
- Current content: EMPTY (only lost+found, modTime 2026-04-11)
-
- Size: 5000 MB
Investigation so far:
- Same volume ID before/after redeploy (not a new volume)
- Volume mounted correctly at /n8ndata per deploy logs
- But zero n8n data present inside it
Question: Does Railway maintain automated snapshots of persistent volumes? Can you restore volume a03b272f-250e-4911-ab65-580048209c0a to its state BEFORE 2026-08-11T15:04:50Z?
This is production with critical workflows (Telegram bots, business automation). I have an external backup of workflow JSON definitions (hourly, <1h before the redeploy) but credentials/secrets are not in that backup — only Railway-side infra restore can recover those.
Only change made before this happened: ipv6EgressEnabled: false → true. No volume deletion, no unmounting, no other config changes.

We don't offer data restoration for user-initiated actions like this. Going forward, upgrading to Pro unlocks native volume backups on your service so it can self-restore if this happens again.
