Hello,

Both the domains on that service work fine for me.

What error are you getting?

Hello,

It will seem counterintuitive for me to say this after what you just said, but you need to use a CNAME, an ALIAS record will not work long term, it will work until we change the IP our Proxy, and at some point we will, then your domain will stop working, using a CNAME allows your domain to work without issue when the upstream uses a dynamic IP.

Please set your domain up properly with a CNAME and not an ALIAS record, I know for a fact that Namecheap works fine for CNAMEs at the root given you don't need any other kinds of records at the root.

Best,
Brody

cname didnt work for root domain only for www. i see alot of threads about this and see no fix from u guys?

In this case there's nothing for us to fix here, this wouldn't be an issue with Railway but an issue with how you have your DNS setup.

Happy to debug if you switch back to CNAME, but we wouldn't be able to provide support on this topic as long as you have an unsupported ALIAS record set.
