Why hello there

The @ is the issue

Just type in your root domain name.

Instead of the @!

Let me know if it works!

Can you screenshot the rule without the token present?
btw... while adding a custom domain in railway portal.. what port i shud use
a year ago
Depends on the port of your app...

Actually, it appears as if GoDaddy doesn't allow root domain cnaming...

I would recommend setting up CloudFlare for proxying

Not sure why you put <> around it, but
GoDaddy does not support root domain CNAME
a year ago
Not sure. CloudFlare is awesome though. Everyone uses it.

Then you'll see DNS settings, do the same thing but use @, and it will @ctually work

Why do you have an A record with that name?
Remove that A record and make it only a CNAME
i didnt add it. i dont know where it came from.. r u sure it wont cause issues?
yes.
it is pointing to some IP so, it must be going somewhere
a year ago
you only need to remove the one that uses the root domain
a year ago
I'm not sure how that's possible but
If you didn't add them they shouldn't be there in the first place
a year ago
They can't both be A
yeah I have no idea what those are
you can safely get rid of them
What are you hiding if you don't even know what those are
a year ago
And what am I going to do 👀

cool website

Oh. They're pointing to godaddy's servers.

Yeah if you're replacing that you can delete them

just for fun.

This is ridicullous, you can't be serious about requiring ppl to use cloudflare as a proxy to get a custom domain to work. No platform i ever used made this process such a pain in the ass
a year ago
Not required. At all. Read the conversation please.
