Network egress continuing to rise for not known reason

Hi, I have an on-going problem whereby my network egress continues to increase over time and I have no idea why. The weird thing is that it's usually stable for a few days after I do a deployment and then suddenly starts to take off again.

Things I have tried:

-removed Redis
-changed the database connection to an internal one
-stopped making API calls to an outside server

The only thing I can think of now is that my site is the subject of some sort of bot attack and I'm wondering whether to stop responding to bot requests. Other than that, there is some sort of bug in Railway itself that is causing this but nothing I do seems to work to get it under control.

Any help would be appreciated.

everything looks normal from a set up standpoint, you are indeed using the private network for postgres.

so there's really not much I can tell you here unfortunately, railway does not have any observability into where the outbound traffic goes, we only know the usage.

The real mystery is that it stays stable just after a deployment, usually for a few days, then all of a sudden, starts increasing quite rapidly

Could it have anything to do with bots?

you would need to check the http logs to find that out

It's getting 6-8 hits a minute - almost all bot traffic
