Hi, finding that new deployments keep defaulting to Metal, and don't update when I change the region back to one that supports non-Metal (unless I try again and again and then at some point the region change works).
But on the next build, the region is changed back automatically, and the builds start failing again.
I will migrate to Metal at some point but would prefer to focus on feature development right now. It would be great if once I've selected a region for a service, it stays put, until I choose to change it.

Hi there, new deployments with volumes are set to use Railway Metal by default. This change was implemented to enhance performance and cost-efficiency. You can find more about this in the Railway Metal documentation.
Could you please try setting the desired region in the Settings -> Deploy -> Regions section?

Manually setting the region for the service seems to work (eventually) until the next deployment to that service, which seems to cause a switch back to Metal, which is currently broken. My concern is that this will bring down services in production on the next release.

I see that the service you linked is on the legacy runtime - could you please try to switch your service to the V2 runtime?

Hi, I've done that and things seem to be working now. I'm no longer seeing automatic switches to other settings.
