I didn't receive errors that my volume was full and that there were errors.
Wondering why "Email & In-App" is not the default setting in Notification Rules. I did not turn these notifications off.

I just checked by creating a new account, "Email & In-App" is the default for high severity and notice alerts. So you likely did turn it off at some point and must've forgotten about it. It does align with my own account too, I've also never changed my notification settings and its all on "Email & In-App"

IMO, critical errors should be sent regardless of settings. I have lost 2 weeks of data from our analytics now.
Maybe I accidentally turned it off after being spammed with marketing emails. It sits on the same page as the marketing notifications.

That's a fair perspective, but I believe it's actually legally required by many countries for companies to respect notification settings. If you disable email notifications then Railway has to respect that.

Incorrect. That may be true for marketing emails, but for essential operational emails, there is no need to respect notification settings.
Regardless, marketing email settings should not be on the same page as critical error alerts. OR, critical error alerts should be in a highlighted box to distinguish them.
