Hi there, I am looking to connect my GitHub repository to deploy my Python backend project in railway.

Could you please confirm in my current plan , if i can connect it to my github repository for deploying these backend files - or do i need to purchase a plan for this?

Thanks

As I mentioned above, users on limited trials will not be able to deploy/perform certain actions. They must upgrade to a plan under the Plans tab in Workspace settings.

Hey there! We've found the following might help you get unblocked faster:

If you find the answer from one of these, please let us know by solving the thread!

The Free Trial has $5 worth of credits you can use to host any type of project on Railway (without violating the TOS of course).

After the $5, you can either downgrade to the Free plan or a Hobby or Pro plan.

As for "sufficient," this will depend on what you're trying to deploy.

This is the screenshot message i am getting when i am on the free plan 'limited access' - so is the free plan only limited to deploying databases ? if so , which plan do you recommend i get for my python backend deployment ?

Requirements for my project:
2gb min ram, 4gb recommended
storage - 10 gb min

CPU - 2-4 cores
Cron job every 30 mins from vercel.

Please share the recommended plan to get?

IIRC a limited trial happens when a user signs up with a new/low-activity GitHub account.

What you can do, is sign up with an active GitHub account, or upgrade to a paid plan.

As for your given requirements, a Hobby plan should be enough.

I see, on the landing page of railway pricing page , there was some misleading marketing material - screenshot attached here promising that small apps are included in the free plan for deployment... up to 0.5gb ram and volumn... but on actually going into the workspace there is no option for deployment saying that only 'databases' are allowed and nothing on apps deployment?

You are on the limited trial. Go to workspace settings > Plans to change the workspace plan.

I understand that... but on the landing page it says the free plan 'perfect for getting started and deploying small apps on Railway' -- while once you have actually craeted a project it says only 'database deployments are allowed'.. so which small apps are allowed on the free plan?
