I am writing to you with an extremely urgent issue. About an hour ago, an automated AI agent I was using to migrate my project completely deleted my primary project instead of cloning it.
I need your urgent assistance to see if you can perform a point-in-time restore of the deleted project from your internal backups. This project contains months of hard work.
Here are the details:
Openclaw link: https://openclaw-production-d03f.up.railway.app/openclaw
Project Name taht is now EMPTY :-(: "openclaw_primary"
Target Project Name (where it was supposed to migrate): "exxxx"
Approximate Time of Deletion: [Unesi tačno vreme i vremensku zonu, npr. Today at 13:30 CEST]
If there were any databases attached to openclaw_primary, it is absolutely critical that the data is restored as well.
Please let me know if there is any way to recover this state. I am hoping you have a soft-delete retention period or internal snapshots that can save this project.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this escalation.
Best regards, Veljko

The project "openclaw_primary" still exists, but the three services inside it (OpenClaw, searxng-railway, OpenSEO) were deleted today at around 11:59 UTC. Deleted services are removed immediately with no grace period, and we're not able to restore them or recover the data that was on their volumes. Since the project is still there, you can recreate the services within it and redeploy from your source repo.

for the future is there option to create backup schedule on project level?

This is a question the Railway community is better placed to answer than support: people who have already worked this out on their own projects and can tell you what actually worked.
So we'd like to open your thread as a community bounty. Railway pays a bounty to the community member who answers it, and threads like this usually get picked up quickly.
Opening it makes this entire thread public, including everything already posted. Nothing becomes public until you decide. Use the buttons below.
- Open to the community - Before you click, take a moment to edit or remove anything you'd rather not share. The thread becomes publicly visible right away.
- Keep it private and close the thread - Nothing becomes public and the thread closes.

No. There isn’t a way to back up an entire project.

The project itself still exists, but everything inside it was deleted. Is it possible to recover its services, database, files, and configuration?
Does the 48-hour recovery window for deleted volumes apply in this case? How can I check whether my data is still within that window and restore it?
If volume recovery is unavailable, could any retained backups, deployment images, or uploaded source archives be used to recover the database or application code? What retention periods apply?

Go to https://railway.com/dashboard, and you'll see a button to navigate to deleted projects (if the project was deleted within the last day). You'll be able to restore the project from there.
You also should have received an email regarding a scheduled project deletion.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, in my case, the project itself wasn't deleted—only its contents were. The project still exists as an empty shell. Is there any way to restore the internal contents of the project (the services, databases, and apps) that were deleted from inside it? Please note that I am on a Pro plan, in case that gives me access to extended backups or priority support.
