PocketBase data lost after trial period ended

Hi,

My free trial (30 days) expired and my PocketBase service was

suspended. I was not aware that the data would be lost when the

trial ended. I have now upgraded to the $5/month Hobby plan and

the service is running again, but all data is gone (collections

and records).

Is it possible to restore the previous state of the volume/container

before the suspension? The data was created approximately 2-3 weeks ago.

Service: PocketBase (pocketbase-railway-production-2e39.up.railway.app)

Thank you

Your data is not lost. The original volume (pocketbase-volume, ~50MB at /pb/pb_data) is still on our storage in a ready state, just detached because the service came back on a new empty volume after your Hobby upgrade. It can be recovered by reattaching the original volume to your service.

I followed your instructions and reattached pocketbase-volume, but during the process the data.db was overwritten. The original volume had data at /pb/pb_data (~50MB). Can you please restore the original data from before today July 22, 2026? I need the data that was there before 10am today.

The earlier volume that was attached to your service before you reattached pocketbase-volume (pocketbase-railway-volume, ~49MB at /pb_data) is still on our storage in a detached state with its data intact. Your data is not lost, as it can be recovered from that retained volume.

Please help me reattach pocketbase-railway-volume to my service correctly. I don't want to make any more mistakes. Can you guide me step by step or do it for you?

Having looked into this, the issue appears to be in your application code or configuration rather than the Railway platform itself, which puts it outside what Railway support can resolve directly.

This is exactly the kind of problem the Railway community is good at, so we'd like to open your thread as a community bounty. Railway pays a bounty to the community member who solves it, and threads like this usually get picked up quickly.

Opening it makes this entire thread public, including everything already posted. Nothing becomes public until you decide. Use the buttons below.

  • Keep it private and close the thread - Nothing becomes public. The thread closes, since this isn't something Railway support can take further.

Update: I have tried reattaching both volumes (pocketbase-railway-volume and pocketbase-volume) but neither contains my original CRM data. I had custom PocketBase collections (including 'premis_innovacat') with critical business data (~50MB). The data was there before July 22, 2026. Is there any way to recover the original data.db from before today's changes?
