My Postgres service (deployment 73304c45) has been stuck in a crash loop since May 19, 2026 and I'm unable to recover it.
What's happening:
The service crashes immediately on startup with:
ERROR (catatonit:2): failed to exec pid1: No such file or directory
This happens every restart. Redeploying does not fix it.
What I've tried:
Redeploying the service multiple times
The crash loop started on its own, I made no changes
Details:
Service: Postgres (ghcr.io/railwayapp-templates/postgres-ssl:17)
Volume: postgres-volume / vol_dos89wd0bl8gu6lj, mounted at /var/lib/postgresql/data
Public proxy: shortline.proxy.rlwy.net:53465
I have no backups (not on Pro plan)
What I need:
Can you help recover or snapshot the volume data, or help get the service booting again? I cannot wipe the volume as it contains data I need to recover.
Please advise.

Apologies for this canned message but in an effort to help all our customers get back up and running, we are sending this bulk message. As you may know, we had a major interruption to our services yesterday. We've published a post-mortem if you'd like more information on the incident. It describes what happened and what we are doing to prevent it in the future. We are deeply sorry for the impact that it has had on you.
It is taking some time to bring everything back up, but we are working on it as fast as we can. In general, a redeployment should fix most service issues. Due to the volume of customers redeploying right now, builds and deploys may take longer than normal to process.
